This soft, water-free non-medicated formulation provides a semi-occlusive emollient barrier that helps to suppress itch by:
- reducing trans-epidermal moisture loss as well as suppressing voltage dependent receptor stimulation
- physically inhibiting irritants (oxidants) generated in conjunction with skin repair processes and;
- re-supplying essential structural lipids depleted from the dermis through injury.
